The bulk of entries in Hammer’s Frankenstein franchise are some of the best films from the studio. (We’ll have to look past the disaster that is The Evil of Frankenstein – Hammer’s absolute worst.) Sitting near the top of the pile is the excellent and very strange Frankenstein Created Woman. Frankenstein Created Woman is certainly not a typical outing for director Terence Fisher. A twisted film that is sometimes funny and always surprising, it’s no wonder that this ranks among Martin Scorsese’s favourites. Thankfully, the Germans saw fit to create a wonderful poster for this unique entry in the Frankenstein universe. (In fact, they made two fantastic posters; here’s the other one.) Undoubtedly, the poster below is my favourite piece of Hammer memorabilia.
