Everything Vinegar Syndrome puts out excites me, which is why I tend to buy their monthly packages and grab everything they’ve released. But occasionally — particularly in their DVD sets with multiple movies — you find yourself watching some incomprehensibly awful garbage. Mad Love Life of a Hot Vampire (1971) — found in a Ray Dennis Steckler set with two other films — is about as awful as it gets. Hot Vampire is a hardcore vampire film set in Las Vegas with Dracula playing the role of a pimp who sends out vampire hookers to bite the dicks of unsuspecting victims. It sounds great. It’s not. Mostly it consists of upsetting hardcore scenes of broken looking men and women soullessly fucking each other. Needless to say, there’s a lot of limp penises in this one. The highlight of the film is Jim Parker’s portrayal of Count Dracula. Parker is undoubtedly the worst Dracula ever shot on celluloid. He grins and stumbles his way through the film like a nervous high schooler with a camera shoved in his face. Just watch the way he exits the scene in the clip below…
