Hong Kong cinema has taught Hollywood a lot. John Woo demonstrated the joys of acrobatic gunplay, doves, and the combination of white suits and squibs. Wong Kar Wai blew our minds with his thoughtful, stylised films and introduced the world to the glorious and much imitated cinematography of Christopher Doyle. And, most importantly, Kin Ping Cheng showed exactly how to end a movie with Body Lover. The abrupt, dick-destroying ending of Body Lover will likely never be topped, but today’s clip comes close. This ending is taken from CAT III Modern Girls (1993). Though it spends most of its time drowning in mediocrity, its absurd ending deserves a standing ovation. This is how you end a movie!
