Earlier this year I spent some time doing something incredibly stupid yet incredibly fun. Most movie buffs with internet access have probably stumbled upon the fake Criterion phenomena. For those who haven’t, this is where movie fans use the iconic Criterion look and create covers for films they haven’t released. Some of these are excellent and some of these are terrible. Today I got to wondering if anyone had given the same treatment to one of the UKs premium art house labels, Artificial Eye. I did a quick search and didn’t come up with anything. This surprised me, because the basic Artificial Eye template is so easy and fake releases can be made in minutes. So here are a collection of artificial Artificial Eye releases that I made. These aren’t marvels of design, but they were fun as hell to make. Enjoy all of these “poetic and moving masterpieces’.

I will definitely be making many more of these. I won’t be able to help myself and they’re so damn easy. If any of you want to give this a go yourself, I’d love to see what you come up with.
