Naziploitation is a sick and silly sub-genre that I can’t help but enjoy. It’s impossible to imagine something so crude and awful existing today. Actually, what am I talking about? Turn on the telly and you’ll find much worse. Still, it is phenomenal what the Italians got away in the wake of Ilsa and Salon Kitty. Take this scene of stupid sadism in SS Camp 5: Women’s Hell (1977). Observe the ease in which Serafino Profumo tears out a tongue! The chuckling that ensues! And the hilarious post-violence depression that settles in as soon as Profumo places the tongue on a table! They don’t make ’em like they used to, folks.
