Granny (1999)

Granny (1999)

While Granny isn't a good movie by any means, it reminded me of the short films I used to make with my friends as a kid and on that level it won me over.
Battra (バトラ Batora)

Battra (バトラ Batora)

Few monsters follow any sort of path of redemption in Godzilla movies, so Battra's story really does stand out. It's too bad Mothra, being the moth she is, hogs all the limelight.
Anatomia Extinction (1995)

Anatomia Extinction (1995)

Anatommia Extinction is very much a film of its time portraying claustrophobia and misanthropy in a way only 1990s Japan knew how to deliver.
How to have sex according to The Underground Banker

How to have sex according to The Underground Banker

The Underground Banker sounds amazing on paper, but most of the screen time is dedicated to shit comedy. Like this brilliantly stupid scene where Anthony Wong attempts to fuck his sex-starved wife while listening to instructions from an extremely unhelpful sex therapy tape.

Hansel e Gretel (1990)

It's hard to say whether Fulci at any point sat in the director's chair during the production of this. My guess is no. Though Fulci was not at the top of his game in 1990, his flourishes could still be seen in even his cheapest work. None are apparent here.

Wet and Wild Summer! (1992)

Why would you waste 10 minutes of your life reading a post about Wet and Wild Summer!? Most importantly, why would you waste 95 minutes of your life watching it, like I did? There is one special reason: Christopher Atkins. Or to be exact: Christopher Atkins’ magical face.
Hurricane Smith (1992)

Hurricane Smith (1992)

When Hurricane steps off the plane in Brisbane, Australia, he announces, “I’m Carl Weathers and I’m here to smash up the Gold Coast.” I’m not sure why he refers to himself by his real name, but he does.
Richard Norton's flaming feet

Richard Norton’s flaming feet

Richard Norton's amazingly pointless kick trick. From his 1995 Aussie tough guy flick, Under the Gun.
Evil microwave makes fat guy bubble

Evil microwave makes fat guy bubble

Nothing dates a film like a film that features the internet. That's why more films should feature the internet. Ghost in the Machine is one of those films.
