M.O.G.U.E.R.A. (モゲラ Mogera)
Though he's certainly no Mechagodzilla, I quite like Mogera. He poses little threat with his shrewish face and lumbering movements, but his design is impressive and refreshingly bizarre in both his iterations.
The Sharkfighters (1956)
The Sharkfighters is definitely worth a whirl for those who can handle a slightly more subdued sharkfest.
Varan (バラン Baran)
Poor Varan. I feel bad for him. Not only is he needlessly persecuted by twattish scientists, but he's also pretty boring as a monster. Varan the Unremarkable, am I right?! Hahaha! Ahem. Sorry.
Incredible transformation from I Vampiri
A bit stilted and stiff, I Vampiri is certainly far from Italy's best genre offerings, but it does feature some inspired moments. Perhaps the most impressive sequence is this incredible transformation.
Rodan (ラドン Radon)
I've got quite the soft spot for Rodan. Invasion of the Astro Monster the first Godzilla sequel I ever watched and helped spawn my obsession with kaijū cinema.
