Syngenor (1990)

Syngenor (1990)

Syngenor centers around water soluble Giger-esque super soldiers being let loose in an office building basement, but the actual point of interest is David Gale playing a weirdo CEO who constantly injects Re-Animator goo into his neck and spends the movie becoming even more insane.
Granny (1999)

Granny (1999)

While Granny isn't a good movie by any means, it reminded me of the short films I used to make with my friends as a kid and on that level it won me over.
It's Now or Never (1992)

It’s Now or Never (1992)

Don't let the fact that this is not as obnoxious and mean-spirited as the usual CAT III girl gang fare put you off. It's Now or Never is by far the best of the sub-genre.
Zarkorr! The Invader (1996)

Zarkorr! The Invader (1996)

Whether you're a fan of Full Moon or kaiju, Zarkorr is a great movie. It's not too often you see non-Japanese monster movies going down the practical effects route so it's nice to see what lower budget suit makers can achieve when they really set their minds to it.
Battra (バトラ Batora)

Battra (バトラ Batora)

Few monsters follow any sort of path of redemption in Godzilla movies, so Battra's story really does stand out. It's too bad Mothra, being the moth she is, hogs all the limelight.

Insane fight scene from Future Cops

Man, I just can't get enough of Future Cops aka Super School Overlord (1993) — Wong Jing's loving Street Fighter tribute/rip-off.

Cynthia Rothrock hates kissy-fingers

"Paybacks are a bitch, aren't they, sugar?" Yes. Especially when they involve games of kissy-fingers.
Hellblock 13 (1999)

Hellblock 13 (1999)

If you're a fan of Hansen or Rochon, this is a must-see, but even if you're not, you might get something out of Hellblock 13. It has everything a growing horror fan needs (albeit on a smaller scale): gore, water-soaked child-zombies, a mutant-redneck, acid-fueled bikers, and decapitation.
Anatomia Extinction (1995)

Anatomia Extinction (1995)

Anatommia Extinction is very much a film of its time portraying claustrophobia and misanthropy in a way only 1990s Japan knew how to deliver.
Plan 10 from Outer Space (1995)

Plan 10 from Outer Space (1995)

You might watch Plan 10 and utterly hate it. It could be interpreted as total nonsense. But if you can see the mad genius creeping out behind the hairy-chested exhibitionists and bee-hive-faced aliens, you'll have a joyously good time at the movies.
Orgazmo - Japanese poster

Orgazmo – Japanese poster

I love the pixelated dildo. It's so Japanese that it must be tongue-in-cheek rather than a censorship issue.
How to have sex according to The Underground Banker

How to have sex according to The Underground Banker

The Underground Banker sounds amazing on paper, but most of the screen time is dedicated to shit comedy. Like this brilliantly stupid scene where Anthony Wong attempts to fuck his sex-starved wife while listening to instructions from an extremely unhelpful sex therapy tape.
