Truth be told, every poster I have seen for Yves Robert’s The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe has been a thing of beauty. It is one of those films that seemed blessed with design greatness. The Czech version designed by Zdeněk Vlach is my favourite of the bunch though. An absolute stunner. It is a summation of how powerful empty space can be within design.
