Sharks’ Treasure (1975)
Sharks' Treasure is the most off-putting, jarring cinematic nightmare I've seen in some time. And I'm not even sure if that's a bad thing.
The Sharkfighters (1956)
The Sharkfighters is definitely worth a whirl for those who can handle a slightly more subdued sharkfest.
Ghost Shark (2013)
Ghost Shark is about a killer shark, and that shark is a ghost. Great, sign me up. But if you promise big things in the title, you have to deliver. In that regard, Ghost Shark delivers just enough ghost shark action to overcome the flat periods.
Raging Sharks (2005)
A bizarre and terribly uneven mix of outer space sci-fi, underwater horror, and naval drama, Raging Sharks is a shark film like no other. While I'm not much of a fan of the Shark New Wave, the garbage pumped out by Nu Image Films is generally pretty entertaining.
Mako: The Jaws of Death (1976)
Mako is one of the few post-Jaws efforts to stand as an entertaining shark film. At the centre of its success is its manic leading man. Richard Jaeckel ignores the film's low budget and dull aesthetics and, for some reason, gives this role everything he has.
Super Shark (2011)
This is no Sharktopus or Swamp Shark. Super Shark doesn't do battle with a Mecha Shark. At no point do sharks rain down in a Sharknado. Super Shark is just a big shark... that can walk around on the beach and fly.
An interview with Jay Colligan, star of Cruel Jaws
Jay played Tommy in Cruel Jaws. If you've seen the film, you'll most certainly remember Tommy. He spouts some wonderfully absurd lines of dialogue ("I'm the purser in charge of pussy!") and delivers a performance that exudes enthusiasm making him a likeable presence in the film.
