Don't Panic - Polish poster

Don’t Panic - Polish poster

Is this really a Polish poster? It's certainly not the sort of imagery that springs to mind when I think of Polish posters. Though I suppose it is well past the golden era for Polish poster art, not to mention it's for a low-budget Mexican slasher.
Holding a fetus hostage in Devil's Woman

Holding a fetus hostage in Devil’s Woman

Though not nearly as offensive as Category III's more famous shockers, Devil's Woman contains one ridiculous and repulsive scene worthy of a jaw drop.
Brainblast (1987)

Brainblast (1987)

Junkies, dodgy video effects, and a guy in a frog suit making out with a woman. Hello, Brainblast.
How to open a movie according to Traxx

How to open a movie according to Traxx

The opening of any film is important. It introduces important characters, establishes the story's world and its rules, and, perhaps most importantly, sets the film's tone. I'd be hard pressed to name film that meets that criteria better than Traxx.
Crazy Thunder Road (1980)

Crazy Thunder Road (1980)

Crazy Thunder Road is pure punk energy with an authenticity that could never be replicated on a big budget.
Italian Stallion - Italian poster

Italian Stallion - Italian poster

Back in 1970, Sylvester Stallone was in a shitty softcore flick called The Party at Kitty and Stud's. It was a piece of cinema history I'd all but forgotten about until Sly's face popped up in my Facebook newsfeed in a post from Westgate Gallery.
Butt-biting vampire

Butt-biting vampire

I assumed the outrageous image of Lando Buzzzanca sinking his teeth into a naked lady's ass found on the Dracula in the Provinces poster was purely a bit of lurid false advertising. Having now seen the film, I can happily say that assumption was wrong.
Agon (アゴン)

Agon (アゴン)

Agon doesn't make the best first impression, but, as he receives more screen time, the execution of the monster costume becomes more impressive, especially for a production company without Toho's money.
Hong Kong's worst judge

Hong Kong’s worst judge

So I know I've used Mondo Exploito's Clip of the Week articles as a bit of an outlet for my love of horrible English speaking actors appearing in Asian films and I've absolutely bombarded you with clips, but I really do think this one takes the cake.
Dracula and Son (1976)

Dracula and Son (1976)

Lee made so many movies. Needless to say, not everything Lee featured in is great, but he was always great in them. Hidden within the mountains of his cinematic oddities, there's several gems. This is just one of them...
Scars of Dracula - German poster

Scars of Dracula - German poster

It was quite an easy choice deciding on a Christopher Lee themed poster to feature today. This much maligned film that ushered Lee's Dracula into the 70s is my favourite of Hammer's series, and Germany's gruesome poster does its vicious streak justice.
Rasputin's hands

Rasputin’s hands

It took me a while to decide what Christopher Lee clip to share today. I decided on a moment from Rasputin: The Mad Monk (1966). This is not one of Hammer's best, but Lee's performance in the titular role is fantastic.
