I Don’t Want to Be Born – UK poster
I stumbled upon this batshit crazy for the UK film I Don't Want to Be Born and instantly fell in love with it. The hand-headed scissor wielding baby is perhaps the single most astonishing graphic element I have ever seen.
The Xterminator – US poster
Rarely will I share I poster for a film I've not seen, but I couldn't help myself with this pornotastic parody of The Terminator. I love the way this poster takes the menace out of its source material and replaces it with sleaze, stupidity, and a lopsided Arnie-face.
More Scanners art from Criterion
A couple of weeks ago, we featured Connor Willumsen's brilliant cover for The Criterion Collection's upcoming release of the classic Scanners. Well... Another piece of accompanying art by Willumsen recreating one of the film's most iconic moments has just been revealed and it is worth posting.
Mission Impossible II – Ghanaian poster
I hope that the only time "Mission Impossible" or "Tom Cruise" will be read on Mondo Exploito is in the same sentence as "Ghanaian movie poster".
Scanners – Criterion Collection cover design
This cover was illustrated by Connor Willumsen, a name I doubt I will be forgetting any time soon.
Beyond Erotica – US poster
I stumbled across this poster a couple of days ago while searching for something completely unrelated. I fell in love immediately.
Abby – US poster
I find this poster for the 1974 film Abby enormously unsettling. There's not much else to say.
Rabid – Spanish poster
I was planning to share the Japanese poster for Cronenberg's Rabid, but then I came across this utterly insane Spanish poster... what the hell, Spain?!
Sound of My Voice – US poster
I don't make a habit of sharing recent film posters, but this effort for 2011's Sound of My Voice is just too darn pretty and well executed.
Return of the Street Fighter – US poster
I can't remember where Return of the Street Fighter ranks in the franchise, but I love this weirdly cartoonish poster.
The Laughing Woman – US poster
Where would we be without the whimsical joy if Italian sexploitation? This US poster contains so many design elements that I respond to, it's a surprise I haven't already featured it here.
The Alcove – French poster
I love everything about this poster of Joe D'Amato's L'alcova. The boxed off artwork, the bold yellow title and the partly exposed boobs make for a fantastically sleazy image.
