This poster is just ridiculous nonsense. Look at that gun! Look at the inexplicable severed head! How could one not be desperate to watch this movie after encountering a poster such as this?

The Man from the Deep River – Italian poster
The joys of trashy Italian poster art is expressed perfectly here with this poster for Umberto Lenzi's The Man from the Deep River (1972) — the film that kicked off the cannibal craze of the 70s and 80s.

Bamboo House of Dolls – Italian poster
Combine the scuzz of a Hong Kong WIP film and the artistic talents of Italy's poster designers and you get something almost unbearably sleazy. No one sells a movie with such slimy fervour as Italy.
Hansel e Gretel (1990)
It's hard to say whether Fulci at any point sat in the director's chair during the production of this. My guess is no. Though Fulci was not at the top of his game in 1990, his flourishes could still be seen in even his cheapest work. None are apparent here.
