An unexpected beat down from American Hunter
American Hunter was apparently a key influence for Benjamin Marra's incredible Terror Assaulter (O.M.W.O.T.). The Arizal influence can definitely be seen in the ridiculous dialogue ("Let's just say, [insert something stupid here]"), the relentless explosions, and, of course, the absurd fight scenes.

Act of Vengeance — or, as it's more obnoxiously known, The Rape Squad — is a bizarre and confused mess of a film. It plays up its feminist elements, but, at the same time, is insanely sleazy and gratuitous. In other words, it's a must see.

For a film that shares its leads with the amazing Man from Hong Kong, Queen's Ransom is a pretty dull movie. It does, however, feature a scene where George Lazenby throws a rock at a woman then punches her to death. So I guess there's that.
Screaming fighter from Sister Street Fighter
Sister Street Fighter offers a plethora of increasingly outrageous villains for Sue Shiomi and Sonny Chiba to plough their way through. My favourite from the line-up is this nunchuck-wielding screeching loon.
The best fight scene in cinema history
I now know, having only seen six minutes of The Instructor, that it is the greatest film ever made. Watch as karate king Bob Chaney delivers some of the most laboured kicks and punches captured on celluloid.
Revanchist (1994)
Despite Hong Kong obscurities' ability to hide in the shadows, it's still rather shocking that Revanchist isn't more widely seen. Perhaps my lack of expectations is making me overstate the film's quality, but it's been a long time since I've enjoyed a Hong Kong action flick this much.

Well, maybe not a thousand, but there's certainly an inordinate amount of kicking in this clip from Lady Dragon.
Pornographic kung-fu fight
The Vixens of Kung-Fu had me laughing very, very hard. Seeing its impressive cast of classic porn stars goofily emulating kung-fu moves is quite mind-blowing. The way the film is cut together only makes things more mad.
