It’s been personally very rewarding to revisit the films that comprise the video nasties list. Today’s installment includes some of my personal favourite covers and a couple of the more notorious nasties. It includes the world’s introduction to Wes Craven, as well as the Nazisploitation genre. This selection also proves that films were added to the list solely based on their title. ‘California Axe Massacre’ (AKA ‘Axe’ and ‘Lisa, Lisa’) is an interesting film in its own peculiar way, but without such a title, there’s no way it would be included on such a list. The trailer for this film eludes me, so here’s a review.

The commentary of Nazi Love Camp is as unnecessary as the film is irredeemable- it IS a fucking exploitation film fer chrissakes!
