I’ve posted a few articles about Ghanaian movie posters (most recently we featured an absurd Planet Terror poster), but they’ve only centered on posters for Western films. To make up for this neglect, I’ve collected some of my favourite Ghanaian posters for African films from Ghana Movie Posters and Primitive – stores that specialise in the sale of African artwork. These posters are pretty wild to put it mildly. Reoccurring themes start to become apparent. Snakes coming out of vaginas and babies being murdered are prevalent. More to come at some stage.
