I fell in love with Kathleen Wilhoite when I saw her for the first time in Witchboard (1986). She was hysterical, playing a fabulously 80s psychic. But her performance as Arabella McGee alongside Charles Bronson in Murphy’s Law (also 1986) is one for the history books. Wilhoite pumps out some of the most gloriously creative insults I’ve ever heard. I can’t decide on my favourite. It’s either “dinosaur dork” or “jizzum breath”.

Believe it or not,Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus actually wanted Madonna to play Arabella and then later flirted with the idea of getting Appollona(of PURPLA RAIN)for the role, but the Christa Faust looking Kathleen Wilhoute proved to be the perfect fit as Murphy’s reluctant potty mouthed teen companion(in his [post-arrest] on-the-run-from-the-law adventures). And yes,Charles Bronson truly did have a large array of entertaining films throughout the 80s.

I read about that! It would have been fascinating to see Madonna in the role, but Wilhoute is perfect.
