Sledgehammer – DVD cover
I am not sure if this DVD cover for Intervision's Sledgehammer release (which uses the original VHS artwork) ever existed in poster form, but I love it regardless. It has a Polish poster feel without the same sense of style. This is like Polish primitive for the psycho set.
Day of the Dead – Italian poster
I was in Rome last year. I visited a lot of churches. I met Luigi Cozzi. I ate a lot of gelato. It was fucking magical. I also found a store with tons of lurid locandina posters and murdered my wallet.
Mafia Girls – US poster
Give me this over a season of Mob Wives any day. The pink, black and white colour scheme in this poster is managed beautifully. If Saul Bass got amourous prior to designing, I imagine the end result would look something like this.
The Evil Dead – Japanese poster
I have quite a few posters sitting under my bed. Most will hopefully be up on my wall when I can afford to frame them. Some will stay there. Like this Japanese poster for The Evil Dead.

I Spit on Your Grave – Italian poster
I Spit on Your Grave is already a remarkably unpleasant film, but this poster puts it through the Italian filter of sexy lingerie, blood, bondage, and a leather bound stool resulting in something far more obnoxious dripping in gaudy glitz.
Alabama’s Ghost – US poster
Godmonster of Indian Flats is a favourite of mine, so it's a mystery that I'm yet to see Alabama's Ghost from the same director, Fredric Hobbs. This poster of almost Ghanaian levels of insanity is a reminder that I need to seek it out.
Bad Taste – Italian poster
I was perusing the incredible offerings from Westgate Gallery and came across a fantastic poster for Peter Jackson's Bad Taste. The brilliant artwork has little to do with the film itself, but hey, it looks great!
Strike Commando – Italian poster
Reb Brown spends much of the movie screaming, so it's appropriate that pretty much every poster for Strike Commando features the hero opened mouthed and furious.
